Promoting Action Plans in Compliance with the Act on the Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children
In line with the objectives of the Act on the Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children, that is, the realization of a society in which sound birth, growth, and development of children as society's future leaders are secured, we at Kubota are endeavoring to enhance our work environment and conditions so as to enable the employees to reconcile their work with their family life and continue to work with a sense of ease and security.
- In FY 2015, we have adopted a new General Employer's Action Plan to further promote related measures.
- Our efforts and achievements made within the framework of the Action Plans from 2007 through 2012 have been recognized with the official certificate popularly known as "Kurumin Mark" of corporate support for child-rearing employees.
- (We are currently applying for certification of the Action Plan from 2013 through 2014.)

Three consecutive or separate days of leave within one month before the expected date of the child's birth or after the child's birth, including the day of birth |

Childcare leave | A part of the period of childcare leave is considered paid leave during the period up to the day immediately preceding the day when the child becomes two years old (the day before the second birthday), in principle. |
Shorter working hours for childcare | Child-rearing employees may shorten their working hours in 30-minute increments to a maximum of two hours per day by either starting work later or ending work earlier or both during the period up until March 31 of the year in which the child completes the third grade of primary school. This system can be used as many times as necessary. |
Accrued annual paid leave for childcare | Employees raising a child in the third grade of primary school or younger may take up to six days of advance accrued paid leave per year for the purpose of nursing the child when ill, until March 31 of the year when the child completes the third grade of primary school. Employees raising two or more such children may take up to 12 days of advance accrued paid leave per year. Accrued paid leave may be spent in half-day increments. |
School event leave | Employees raising a child in the sixth grade of primary school or younger may take up to five days of leave per year for the purpose of attending the child's school events or equivalent or due to reasons related to the child's school life. Accrued paid leave may be spent in this case in half-day increments. |
Half-day paid leave | Employees are entitled to take half-day paid leave up to 12 times per year. |
