Let's Build a Future Full of Smiles: Taking the Next Step by Thoroughly Implementing the Basics Yuichi Kitao, President and Representative Director, Kubota Corporation
January 5, 2024
- This is a summary of messages aimed at Kubota Group employees today.
We would like to express our deepest condolences and sympathies to all of those affected by the earthquake, which occurred in Noto Peninsula of Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, on January 1, 2024. We sincerely hope for the earliest possible reconstruction of the stricken areas.
With our Long-Term Vision “GMB2030, we, the Kubota Group, aim to be an “Essentials Innovator for Supporting Life,” committed to a prosperous society and cycle of nature in the areas of food, water, and the environment. In order to bring smile to our customers, we strive to realize our vision, I would like to reiterate that the foundation of everything we do is, first and foremost, to uphold “safety, compliance, and quality.” In light of the above, Kubota Group employees try to do the following three points this year.
The first is to challenge something new.
Even if you fail, it will serve as a lesson and an invaluable asset that you can apply to your next endeavor. I hope that you will experience growth as you strive for self-realization while enjoying the process, and lead healthy lives, both physically and mentally.
Second is to increase productivity.
Along with efforts based on the Kubota Production System (KPS), we also need to improve productivity through the use of IT. For example, we could make AI learn our individual know-how and utilize AI in the swift development of human resources. We’ll draw on all our wisdom to create an enabling environment for demonstrating Kubota's unique quality to a maximum extent.
Third is to value dialogue.
I have realized that it is only by directly communicating and confirming each other's true intentions, which cannot be fully conveyed in writing, that we can come to an essential understanding of why the others think the way they do and what are behind their thoughts. Please engage in “dialogues” with your immediate and global peers. Weaving together diverse ideas and values will strengthen the Kubota Group.
With these three points in mind, let the 50,000 Kubota Group employees around the world become “One Kubota” and create a new future full of smiles together in the spirit of “On Your Side.”
