Release of the establishment of “The Kubota Group Human Rights Policy” and its publication

The Kubota Corporation (Head Office: Naniwa-ku, Osaka, Japan; President and Representative Director: Yuichi Kitao; hereinafter “Kubota”) has released the establishment of the “Kubota Group Human Rights Policy” and its publication.
The Kubota Group has been stated and published its policy to respect of human rights, and Kubota has promoted it by the Kubota Group Charter for Action & Code of Conduct within the entire group companies and organizations in its history. And, considering the movement of the social trend for responsibility of human rights which has to be carried by private sectors, the past understandings of Kubota has been summarized and defined, and accordingly established the “Kubota Group Human Rights Policy”, and Kubota has published that today with resolution of the board of the directors.
The policy released today is complied with the section 16 of the United Nations “Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights*” which requires a commitment by a policy to respect of human rights as responsibility of a private company. And, the policy states that the scope is not limited to executives and employees of the Kubota Group, but including human rights of those people who may be affected by Kubota’s own business activities.
