Kubota Corporation (Headquarters: Naniwa-ku, Osaka, Japan; President and Representative Director: Masatoshi Kimata; hereinafter referred to as “Kubota”) announced today that it has acquired land for establishing a new R&D base in the U.S. as part of its drive to globalize its R&D structure.
At the new R&D base, Kubota will step up local development of mowers and utility vehicles, whose primary market is North America, in an attempt to enhance customer satisfaction by launching products that better cater to the market needs in a timely fashion.
1. Background and aims
- As an approach to development globalization, in 2011 Kubota began developing selected models of mowers at its North American manufacturing base, Kubota Manufacturing of America Corporation (KMA). By establishing a new development base in the U.S., Kubota will make a full-fledged effort to develop products there.
