Vicon EXTRA 7100T GEOMOW, an implement manufactured by Kverneland Group, wins the Machine of the Year 2018 award at AGRITECHNICA 2017

An implement manufactured by Kverneland Group, a member of the group led by Kubota Corporation (Headquarters: Naniwa-ku, Osaka, Japan; President and Representative Director: Masatoshi Kimata; hereinafter referred to as “Kubota”) was named Machine of the Year 2018 at AGRITECHNICA 2017, which is the world’s largest exhibition of agricultural machinery and is hosted by the German Agricultural Society (DLG).
The Kverneland Group-made Vicon EXTRA 7100T GEOMOW was selected as Machine of the Year 2018, an award given to the most noteworthy product of 2018 in its category. This was the third time that Kverneland Group has won a coveted award at AGRITECHNICA in the last six years. Encouraged by this outcome, we are determined to continue contributing to world agriculture through provision of products, services, and solutions that are trusted by customers across the globe.

The mower itself automatically moves up and down in headland zones, based on information on the field, and overlapped mowing is prevented with an automatic slide. The product was given high marks for the increase in operating speed, increase in the harvesting amount per unit of area, and alleviation of the burden on operators owing to these functions.

Machine of the Year 2018
This award is given to the most noteworthy agricultural machine of 2018 in each category, based on a vote by 18 European mass media groups (mainly agricultural journals).
At the most recent AGRITECHNICA event, a product manufactured by a company in the Kubota Group won the award in the category of haying.
