Support for the areas affected by "The 2011 Tohoku district-off the Pacific Ocean Earthquake"
March 14, 2011
The Kubota Group will concentrate all our efforts and unite in our support and recovery assistance in response to this unprecedented disaster.
I offer my deepest condolences to all those affected by the 2011 Tohoku district-off the Pacific Ocean Earthquake.
This earthquake was of a size we have never seen before, and I feel that the damage suffered must be beyond anything we could possibly imagine. The whole nation is currently working at rescue and relief efforts, but with many towns and cities almost completely destroyed, it is to be predicted that these rescue and relief efforts will face extreme difficulties.
Ever since our company was founded, we have been supported by people living in every part of Japan. In response to this unprecedented disaster, we must bring together the full power of the Kubota Group, and every employee must unite in our support and recovery efforts.
Today we established a "The 2011 Tohoku district-off the Pacific Ocean Earthquake Support/Recovery Measures HQ," with me as its leader. In view of the urgency of the situation, we have already decided to give the following support:
Relief funds and 20 construction machineries (with operators) Total 500 million yen
In line with the developments in the rescue and relief effort, we will also strengthen and continue our support with products and personnel, primarily in work for the provision of essential utilities.
I pray for the earliest possible recovery of the affected areas.
