Yes, Kubota does offer the Kubota Orange Protection Program in addition to the original Limited Warranty customers may purchase Extended Warranty coverage from Kubota through participating Kubota dealers for certain Kubota models.

Can I use synthetic oil in my Kubota engine?
If the synthetic oil meets the appropriate API grade for the application, it can be used in Kubota engines.

If I use synthetic oil, can I extend my oil change interval?
No. Since Kubota can not test every type of synthetic oil, we can not predict how long it will last in the engine. So the oil change interval must remain the same.

Can I use the less toxic propylene glycol antifreeze in my Kubota engine?
Propylene glycol coolant has different cooling properties than ethylene glycol coolant, and may not cool the engine as well in many applications. Since propylene glycol does not absorb as much heat, cooling systems must be larger to accommodate that coolant. Most manufacturers design their cooling systems with ethylene glycol, and the system is not large enough for the additional coolant needed to effectively cool an engine with propylene glycol. So Kubota does not recommend use of propylene glycol coolants.

Is biodiesel approved for use in Kubota diesel engines?

Please review our Biodiesel fact sheet link.
Is E-85 (85% Ethanol, 15% gasoline) approved for use in Kubota gas engines?
E-85 requires different air/fuel mixtures than gasoline. At this time E-85 can not be used in Kubota engines.

I keep hearing about Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD). Is it OK to use it in a Kubota diesel engine?

All commercially available diesel in the United States is now ULSD.  ULSD (less than 15 PPM sulfur) is a requirement for Interim Tier4 and newer Kubota diesel engines.  ULSD is safe and highly recommended for all other Kubota diesel engines.  Diesel fuel with greater than 15 PPM sulfur content, when used in combination with CJ-4 motor oil, may cause harm to your Kubota diesel engine.
In cold weather, can I use ether to help start my Kubota diesel?
No, ether or any other gaseous combustion enhancer can damage your engine. This damage is very easy to detect, and is not covered by warranty.

I'm storing my Kubota product for the winter. Is there anything I should do to prepare it for storage?
For gas engines, drain all the fuel including the carburetor, or add a gasoline stabilizer additive and run the engine for about 15 minutes to be sure it is mixed throughout the fuel system. On diesels, you'll want to add a fuel stabilizer additive and run it for at least 15 minutes to distribute it throughout the system. Make sure the engine coolant is mixed 50/50 with water, protecting your engine to -34 degrees Fahrenheit.

I have a non-Kubota product that has a Kubota engine. How can I get service or information about this product?
You need to contact the dealer where you bought the product, or the original equipment manufacturer of the product. Kubota Tractor Corporation cannot provide support for such a product.

When should my equipment be serviced?
Normally your equipment should be serviced every 50 hours of usage however, we recommend that you consult the Operator's Manual for information on your specific model.

What is the highest slope angle that Kubota recommends when operating a Kubota tractor or mower?
Unfortunately, due to the multitude of variables encountered during field operation, Kubota does not and will not specify a "safe" slope degree or tested slope angle. We recommend that regardless of slope, a ROPS and a fastened seat belt be worn at all times and that all safety procedures outlined in the operators manual, be strictly followed.

Does Kubota pay for transportation of tractor back to the dealer for warranty service?
No - Kubota does not pay for pick-up & delivery, it is the customer's responsibility to deliver the product to an authorized Kubota Dealer for warranty service.
